Today Scotty and I went to the St. John Lutheran Schools PTL Resale. All I can say is LOVE IT!!! I went to one a couple of weeks ago but I didn't get there until after 10 and it was picked over. This time I got there earlier. It cost me $1 to get in and then it was off to shopping. Scotty rode around in his front carrier and was a hit with the ladies, as always. I put on his little doggy hat this time, but it was too big so it sat sideways. One volunteer even came from across the other side of a table to talk to him. He was in such a good mood and it helped.
I didn't really have anything in particular that I needed or wanted. Scotty does need pants for the winter so I kept my eye out for that. Tables were set up with clothes...infant to bigger kids, toys for all ages, books and movies, and lots of baby items. We made our rounds and picked up a few items.
I spent $22.50 total on the following items: Old Navy Jeans for the winter, an adorable Old Navy shirt, an even cuter Baby Gap wool vest, a Gymboree jumper that Scott kept his hands on the whole time, a Eddie Bauer back window sun shade (we have one already and it is a godsend), a set of 3 CDs full of kids songs, Baby Einstein Santa's Music Box DVD, a Fisher Price Piggy Bank that teaches you how to count, and a Baby Einstein Turtle Music Box for his crib. I think I made out well. My favorite so far is the Baby Einstein Turtle.....it helped with Scott's nap time. Nap times can be a challenge.

That was quite the haul! I love resale and garage sales--when they outgrow clothes so fast it's so hard to pay full price! I found a moving sale last month and came away with 21 pieces of clothing (mostly sleepers) for $5! Steal of the century!
ReplyDeleteHe's a cutie--I'll keep checking back just to see how much he grows. How big is he now?
He is probably around 16 lbs or so. We did our unscientific weighing last week and he was right there at 16. I feel like he grows too much and so fast. It's hard to believe that it has been 4 months already.
