Hooters

We took a small roadtrip last weekend to Schaumburg to visit our friend Tommy at his Hooters restaurant. Tommy is a good friend of my hubby's and is a manager there. Plus we were having some major wing cravings....two weekends in a row!! Tommy loves seeing Scott which also provided us with some good laughs.

Tommy played a game with Scotty by blowing at his face.

At first he wasn't so for sure about the game but then....

he thought it was hilarious.

Scotty played with his toys but would then drop them for the servers to pick up. How does my little boy know how to get a girl's attention already?

Scott also thought it would be fun to try and get to his Daddy's beer. He got a bottle of formula shortly after this was taken.

We met Shannon, a 2010 Hooters calendar girl. She is the back cover girl for the calendar. She was very sweet and Scott seemed to enjoy having his picture with her too (as seen by his smirk).

Apple Butter: Attempt #1

So my mom had brought up some Macintosh apples on her last visit. I had used Gala's for Scott's first batch of applesauce and wanted to stick with Gala's so I found something else to make with the Macs.....Apple Butter.

After several conversations with a co-worker I went online and found a recipe for Crockpot Apple Butter........

Apples
3 cups Sugar
2 teaspoons Cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon Ground Cloves

Sounds easy right.....??

This is what it looked like when I left this morning.

This is what it looked like when I got home.

I don't think that's the right color. Ooops

Enchilada Bake.....Check!

So my wonderful hubby made the enchilada bake last night and it was delightful!!  He said that if I was going to blog about then I needed to mention the fact that he changed the recipe up a bit too.  Instead of ground beef he used a steak that he had grilled and seasnoned the other night and he used salsa verde instead of regular salsa.  It was awesome and I can't wait for the leftovers tonight.

My husband told me that today I needed to get out for lunch.  I never really do this because I either do work while I eat or I take the time to check up on my favorite blogs.  So I ventured out to Once Upon A Child, a childrens consignment shop in Villa Park looking for Halloween costumes.  Maybe I was hoping for something better but this place was a mess..toys on the floor, piles of stuff laying around.  They had a big selection of clothes and I believe that they don't have costumes out yet but it just gave me a weird vibe.  I bought Scott three new outfits (which he doesn't need) and this musical item that can attach to the end of his crib and he can kick at it to make noise. Despite my good purchases I think I will go to the St. Charles location next time.

I also went to Wendy's.....my new favorite fast food place.  I am in love with their Sweet & Spicy Asian Chicken Boneless Wings.  I have tried the Bold Buffalo, but the Asian is where its at.

They Worked!

My husband called me at work to tell me that Scott had a poo! And it was big and looked like his Gerber prunes which means that they worked. I sure hope it makes him feel better considering we had to get up the last two nights with a constipated little boy.

Prunes and Cortland

Well my dear little Scott has been a little on the constipated side lately. He seems to struggle when he needs to take a little poo. So we decided to give him Gerber prunes. He has already started on rice cereal, applesauce and pears. Bill took the opportunity to feed Scott and well you can see how it turned out.....

Prunes all over the face and the bib and the washrag. The good thing was he loved the prunes and he came clean!!

We also made the trek out to Cortland to see how our house was coming along. I was so excited to see that we had carpet and grass!!! Two weeks and counting until we move in. Scott even got the chance to try out the new carpet.
